Scott Snyder
Scott grew up in San Diego, California, where he completed his undergraduate studies with a BSEE at California State University – Long Beach and graduate studies at Western State University College of Law with a JD. He subsequently became an attorney and has been a member of the California State Bar since 1991.
Scott purchased his first income property, a four-plex in West Raleigh, thirteen years ago. He now owns investment properties throughout the Raleigh and Eastern NC area. Additionally, he has purchased in the Lake Gaston area and has firsthand experience with managing several hundred properties as a co-owner of Raleigh Property Management.
Before starting Raleigh Investment Real Estate, Scott worked as an electrical engineer and Business Practice Manager for 19 years at Hewlett Packard. After that, he joined a small software startup in the Raleigh area, Alerts.com, as VP of operations.
Diane Murdock
Diane grew up in Wisconsin and has lived in Colorado, Texas, and, most recently, Raleigh for almost 20 years. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin- Platteville with a B.S. in Business Administration. She obtained her CPA license in 1990 and is currently licensed in North Carolina. She is also a member of the NC Association of CPAs.
Diane and Scott also co-founded Raleigh Property Management where they have managed hundreds of rental properties for investors. She also owns investment properties in Raleigh and eastern North Carolina.
Diane specializes in the financial aspects of real estate investment. She has 18 years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant and has served as Chief Accounting Officer for both private and public companies – including a commercial real estate company for seven years.
Larry Spears
Larry, being the son of an Air Force Colonel, has lived in a variety of places including Japan, England and many U.S states. He moved to Raleigh in 1979. He is a graduate of Davidson College. He graduated with a B.A. in history and attended the M.B.A. program at Xavier University. Larry has served on several Boards, including The Triangle Make a Wish Foundation and the Capital City Youth Sports Association.
Besides holding a N.C. Realtor’s license, Larry is also a Registered Representative (series 7, 8, 3, 63, 65). He helps the firm’s clients to access Tenants in Common (TICs) investments in order to take advantage of the 1031Tax Deferred Exchange option for their real estate liquidations.
Larry purchased his first investment rental property at the age of 26. He currently owns many properties around the Raleigh area and on the N.C. coast.
Before joining Raleigh Investment Real Estate, Larry spent 18 years as Managing Senior VP of the Morgan Stanley Company in Eastern North Carolina. He entered the investment arena as a professional in 1983, beginning as a financial advisor with Prudential-Bache.
Sal D'Elia
As a seasoned restaurant veteran, Sal D’Elia has joined Raleigh Investment Real Estate with 30 years of restaurant and bar experience. In addition he has worked as a business broker and consultant specializing in the food and beverage industry. As a food and beverage specialist, Mr. D’Elia will focus on the sales and leasing of restaurant businesses, commercial restaurant properties and all entertainment properties in Raleigh as well as the surrounding areas. Mr. D’Elia will be responsible for assisting restaurant owners in many areas including but not limited to site selection, mergers and acquisitions, valuations, and lease negotiations. Mr. D’Elia will also consult with owners on how to increase the value of their business so they may sell at a premium price.
Mr. D’Elia has previously owned ten restaurants and bars in South Florida and California, and worked with such leading names in the restaurant industry including Jack Penrods of Nikki Beach fame, Lance McFadden and Walter Payton of McFadden Ventures, and Larry Spatz and Larry Seigal of Baja Beach Club. It is this hands-on experience as restaurant owner/operator that makes me such an asset to any restaurant owner looking to buy or sell his business.
